HI I'M RUDI
Producer | Designer | Games User Researcher
ABOUT ME
I hold an M.F.A. in game design from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts where I designed and produced games while also working in UX research.
I used to be an archaeologist and have excavated all over the world. I remain deeply interested in people and our relationships to things and each other.
I like learning new things, good beer, power metal, biking around Los Angeles, too many books to list, and games of all types.
MAC GOES BACK
Director | Producer
Mac Goes Back is a point and click adventure game for PC currently in development. It is my MFA thesis project, sponsored by the Sloan Foundation. Join Mac on a real archaeological excavation at Tikal where she and the team uncover political intrigue in the Classic Maya period.

DIGITAL PROJECTS

EARLY & OFTEN
Co-Designer
Early and Often was born from a Broward County, FL voting booth for a game festival setting. Vote at the booth, change the game (and get an "I voted" sticker!). Now, it is being adapted into a social mobile game.
DISCARNATE
Co-Designer | Producer
This Black Mirror-esque narrative mobile experience was an experiment in IBM's Watson chat technology. If you lost your beloved partner and could bring them back in digital form, would you?
10,000 BCE
Designer
This walking simulator imagines the early Neolithic site of Gobekli Tepe as a phenomenological experience.
ANALOG GAMES

FOR ALL
Co-Designer
A social, cooperative tabletop game that examines society, values liberty, and wants everyone to achieve self-actualization even if it means we must each give up pieces of our own privilege.
MARSHALLTOWN
Designer
Assume the role of a real archaeologist -- manage an excavation and pursue career research to become the most respected academic around.
CAMP RENDER
Co-Designer
An ARG about a summer digital arts camp with a dark history...
